Dr Kim has a specific interest in the treatment of Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorder that often requires specialised and multidisciplinary care as part of the TMJ Clinics. The management of TMD constitutes a specialised area of treatment.

Dr Samuel Kim

MBBS MMed BOH DSc Grad Dip Dent FRACDS (OMS)

Dr Samuel Kim is an Australian trained specialist Maxillofacial surgeon with both medical and dental degrees from New South Wales and Queensland. He also has a Masters in Medicine degree in medical research.

After obtaining his specialist qualification, Dr Kim has spent further 12 months in TMJ surgery fellowship at the St. Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. He is currently the only medically and dentally trained maxillofacial surgeon in NSW with 12 month fellowship in TMJ surgery.

​Dr Kim specialises in all aspects of Temporomandibular Joint Disorders and is one of the few Maxillofacial surgeons in Australia to regularly perform TMJ surgeries, from arthroscopes to joint replacements. He has special interest and expertise in minimally invasive total TMJ replacement surgery and single stage surgeries.

Dr Kim holds multiple hospital appointments including St George Private Hospital, Prince of Wales Private Hospital and Canberra Private Hospital.

​He is the surgical lead of the multi-displinary TMJ Clinics.
